will be different depending on what is ready to be addressed and healed within you.

Breathwork is a very powerful tool to get into your body. In our day to day lives we have a tendency to stay stuck in our minds, and we often don’t even pay any attention to if we even are breathing! Luckily, inhaling oxygen is an unconscious process, something we must be grateful for. Imagine having to consciously remember to breathe! But, the amount of oxygen that we inhale has a direct influence on how much energy is released into our cells. Therefore making the breath a more conscious process actually has a lot of benefits.

As many of you might know from meditation, getting ready for an interview, a sports event or even a date, the breath is a powerful way to calm down your emotions. We can calm our anxiety just by counting our in- and exhales. Women use the breath to breathe through contractions when bringing a new life to this earth.
The breath is the only bodily function that we (mostly!) have full control over. We cannot control our digestion by focusing our attention on it, nor can we lower our heart rate by paying close attention to it – not without the breath at least! But we can control how deep our in and exhales are.

Our breath is important. And by doing breathwork we bring this importance more to the forefront. We are able, through something as simple as the breath, to ease our anxiety, to bring deep emotions that are ready to be let go of, to the surface and to release stored energy blockages.

I first discovered the power of breathwork (pranayama) during my Yoga Teacher training in 2013. And since then I have always incorporated in my own yoga practices and I have had many private breathwork sessions with powerful healing as a result.

Natalie offers 60 and 90 minute sessions via zoom, or in person in Lisbon/Cascais, Portugal. A session will start with some coaching, to see what comes up for you, to address any recurring patterns and try getting to the root of any issues you feel might be hindering your growth in life. The second half of the session will be breathwork, in which Natalie will guide you and remind you of your breath and the specific technique we are using in your session. The session will end with anything you might want to share about what came up for you.
